Frida Look-Alike Contest: Oct. 13th
The Maude Kerns Art Center presents the nineteenth annual “Día de los
Muertos/Day of the Dead Exhibit,” featuring artwork reflecting themes of the
Mexican Day of the Dead celebration as well as commemorative altars created
by individuals and community groups. The exhibit opens on Friday, October 12,
with a Fiesta from 6 – 9 pm. Fiesta entertainment includes music by the
mariachi band Mariachi Herradura de Oro and traditional dancing by the Ballet
Folklórico Alma de México. The “Día de los Muertos Exhibit” is on view
through Friday, November 2. (PERFECT
